Expect to see the most epic Star Wars battles, action figures, and droids all represented in toy form. We were quite surprised that a museum known for its famous art pieces is welcoming toys. However, Dortothee Charles says that there is a place for Star Wars toys in the world of art. In the world of licensed toys, the Star Wars toys were a bit of a revolution. The toys were able to beautifully capture the scenes and characters from the movie.

It's not only children who are excited about the new exhibit. There are a lot of adult collectors and Star Wars fans that can't wait to see the exhibit. There is a lot of excitement around the brand new exhibit. Star Wars fans from all over the world are going to take a trip to Paris just to catch a glimpse of all the toys. I was just in Paris about 4 years ago but plan to make a visit sometime in the next year just to check out this new exhibit

Thanks to Arnaund Grunberg this exhibit has been made possible. Some of you may recognize the name as he is a toy collector. His collection of Star Wars toys includes thousands of toys. In fact, on display are 450 toys from his personal collection. He has been a fan of Star Wars ever since he laid his eyes on the first Star Wars Film that came out in the late 1970s. It brings joy to his eyes to see an entire new generation to be excited for toys from a series born nearly 40 years ago.

The collection of toys includes toys from just about every era. You are going to see some of the very first toys in the line all the way up to toys that have just come out in 2012. Star Wars is a brand that not only appeals to kids but also to adults. You can't help but be excited for the toys.

Over the last few decades there have been a lot of Star Wars films that inspired the toys.  There were three films released in the late 70s and early 80s. Then between 1999 and 2005, another set of prequels were released. Although these prequels weren't as good as the original trilogy, there were some great toys inspired from them. The movies are known for their edgy special effects and original sci fi storytelling. The films have been successful all over the world including France.

More than any other film, the film has created a merchandising empire. Millions of toys have been sold and some of the harder to find toys are now worth a lot.

The exhibit is so large that it takes up three rooms. Visitors can see the history of the Star Wars toys. They will be able to take a gander at some of the earliest prototypes all the way of to detailed sculpts of today's action figures. There is a great variety of toys on display that is sure to satisfy even the most diehard fan. There is everything from masks to light sabers. You can also catch a glimpse at some of the original posters for the early movies.

Visitors will also notice ads running on screen for some of the earliest toys and video games. However, most fans are most excited for the recreated scenes from the movie using toys. Right now these are the most crowded displays in the exhibit. Some of our favorite scenes are on display including the attack on the Death Star.
